Recent research from tsoHost has revealed some of the most popular words used in domain names over the past year.

And, featuring words like training, delivery, studio, shop, bike, design, kitchen and dog, the list showcases a few of the things that have become increasingly important to people during the Covid-19 pandemic.

During the past 16 months, more and more people have had to retrain and upskill, businesses have pivoted to offer deliveries and take outs, exercise studios have started offering online classes, retailers have had to build up their ecommerce offering, and there’s been a boom in bike riding, home improvements, home cooking and pet ownership.

tsoHost’s findings mimic the results of research conducted elsewhere, too.

Recently, it was revealed that the domain kitchen.co had sold for an eye watering $70,000.

Buy.co – ideal for ecommerce – sold for $35,000.

Dogbones.com, meanwhile, sold for $15,000, demonstrating just how much the world has come to love their pooches.
